Basket extruder for large-volume pellet manufacturing
The laboratory-scale vertical pelletizing extruder is designed for R&D environments and pilot-scale production. Compact, lightweight, and easy to operate, it efficiently transforms wet, cohesive mixtures of powders, excipients, and binders into uniform cylindrical extrudates. Material is fed by a rotating shaft feeder into the extrusion chamber, where it is compressed through a perforated die plate to form consistent, dense pellets.
Wet mass is conveyed into the extrusion chamber by a screw feeder, compacted under controlled pressure, and forced through a screen die to form dense cylindrical extrudates of variable lengths.
This system is designed for the precise metering, proportioning, and conveying of multiple materials. The entire process is managed via a centralized computer control system, providing a comprehensive overview of production.
